Product Manager
Interview was just behavioral questions, nothing unusual. I had a good chat with the hiring manager, but then I got a standard rejection email. They didn't give any feedback, just ghosted me. I bet they already hired someone. Total waste of my time and getting my hopes up. Lame.
- Can you describe some metrics that you tracked?
Product Manager
The interview process was a bit lengthy due to an internal shift, but the recruiting team kept me informed throughout, so it wasn't a problem. The process was smooth overall, and the recruiting team did a good job of letting me know who I'd be meeting and offering some advice on preparation. They also scheduled brief check-ins between interviews, which was helpful because I felt I could be open about my performance and thoughts after speaking with the team members. I ended up meeting with the recruiter, engineering leads, members of the team I'd be working with (from ad ops to data science), and the CEO.
- Can you share your most significant achievement in your current and prior roles?
Product Manager
Recruiter contacted me because they were really interested. After I looked into their business and decided it was worth it, we scheduled a call. The recruiter's approach felt very rehearsed and one-sided, not really engaging with my answers, which honestly were a bit beyond her as they needed someone who understood technology management. She didn't show any emotion or interest, and didn't ask any follow-up questions. She also couldn't answer my questions about the company's structure and goals, which made me think the organization is a bit shaky. It feels like these roles are created for financial or political reasons and might be cut later, so I'd probably avoid it. A week later, I just got a generic thank you email. A total waste of time.
- Can you describe your past experiences?
Quizlet Product Manager Interview Questions
Quoted word for word from Quizlet interview reports.
“One part of the Quizlet interview process I really enjoyed was a take home project that asked me to put together showcasing my ability to think through a hypothetical product problem. Unlike a lot of companies that ask candidates to essentially do free work, this exercise had nothing to do with Quizlet, which also meant that it was tailored to ensure the best possible assessment of my skillset. Quizlet also instructed me to spend no more than a few hours on the project, which I greatly appreciated as it made it easier to budget my time.”
