Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Quinn Emanuel.
Associate
The interview followed the usual structure: introductions, a short discussion of my background, and questions about my interest in the firm. One interviewer had to leave unexpectedly, which meant the session concluded well before the allotted time. Although the questions were standard, the early finish made the overall process feel a little disjointed.
- What is your interest in joining Quinn Emanuel and how does your experience align with the team's work?
- What about this firm's approach to disputes appeals to you and how would you contribute?
Summer Associate
The interviewers seemed busy, but they were approachable and friendly. The questions were pretty informal and mainly focused on my resume. I don't recall many behavioral questions.
- What motivates your interest in working at Quinn Emanuel?
Associate
Started with an HR phone call, then had a half-day in-office interview. I met with a partner and an associate individually, beginning with the managing partner. It wasn't about tough questions, more about seeing if I was a good fit and a social conversation. The associates were really helpful and open to answering my questions honestly.
- What about this firm sparks your interest?
- Are there specific practice areas that appeal to you more, and if so, why?
- Can you share an example of a legal issue you found particularly interesting?
