First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at QUILT.AI.
Market Research Analyst
The first stage was a take-home assignment. It included a quantitative question that they said would take 15 minutes if you know Excel, and a quant + qual task. The hiring manager said it would take no more than 3 hours, but that's not true. The quant + qual task involves submitting a conversation with an LLM, some basic Excel analysis, and another client deck. If you want to do a good job, it will take much longer than 3 hours, maybe even double.
- Can you introduce yourself briefly?
Researcher
The interview process was good and felt fair. They asked questions that tested my creativity, and since they work in marketing, I tailored my answers based on some research I did, which they seemed to like.
- What motivates your interest in this position?
Cultural Researcher
It was a very long interview process with several assessments. The interviews themselves took about 4-5 hours in total, and the assessments took another 4-5 hours. After all that, they informed me they weren't moving forward. I thanked them, asked for feedback or the reason why, but they didn't get back to me. The founders were also a bit dismissive when I asked questions. I suspect they might be using candidates to get free ideas.
- Could you summarize 114 slides into an executive summary?
UI & UX Designer
The interview process involves multiple stages. One stage includes a take-home assignment where you need to design an analytics dashboard and then present it. I felt this take-home was a waste of time because the interviewers ghosted me after I spent a lot of time on the dashboard design. It's been 3 months with no reply, so I don't recommend interviewing with this company.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your motivation for this role?
