Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

I applied online. The process was good and everyone seemed smart and engaging. Brian the recruiter was great and very responsive, helping me navigate scheduling. The only hiccup was when an interviewer cancelled and I rescheduled, only for him to ghost me the second time with no word. This was a red flag, but since I wouldn't work with him and others were great, I overlooked it. The steps were: 1. A 30min initial call with the recruiter, covering my resume and knowledge of Quid. 2. A 30min call with a sales director, focusing on standard sales interview questions about my experience and quota. 3. An in-person meeting at the NY office with a manager and director (30 min) where they demoed the product after some small talk. This was followed by a 30min video chat with a sales manager from the west coast. 4. A ~1 hour video presentation and product demo, including some role-play, for a group from sales and marketing. The demo itself was about 30 minutes. I got positive feedback on my presentation but didn't get an offer as they sought a more experienced outside sales exec. I appreciated the feedback and understood their decision. It seems like a great team with a cool product.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The first interview was a phone screening with the recruiter, which was pretty casual and normal. It mostly focused on my previous experience and my interest in Quid. The second interview was with the hiring manager and was very formal. They fired off behavioral questions one after another, jumping to the next one even during brief pauses. I didn't get a good vibe because they didn't seem very engaged with my answers. After that, there was a two-part on-site interview. The first part involved a demo and an analytical task. The recruiter advised me to review online use cases for preparation. However, the 'analytical' part turned out to be a case study on market sizing, which surprised me. If I had known it was a case study, I would have prepared differently, so it didn't go well. The second part of the on-site was a presentation. I received a prompt and had to use the product to present on the market, competitors, etc. I thought this presentation went well, but the feedback after not getting an offer was that it wasn't in-depth enough. I'm not sure how much more time they expected me to spend on it, given I already put in 5+ hours. I didn't really get a sense of the company culture from the people I met, which was something I was looking for.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

Got referred by a friend and then a recruiter reached out. We set up a phone interview. After that, I spoke with the Director of Client Services. The recruiter said the next round had four one-on-ones: demo, cultural fit, client-services experience, and a case study. He offered a check-in call beforehand in case I had questions. After the 3rd round, I was told I didn't make it to the final round, which was an onsite presentation. If I had made it, I would've gotten a case study and access to Quid's platform to complete it. Despite not moving on, I really enjoyed learning about Quid, the platform, and the team. It seems like a great platform. Everyone I spoke with seemed to truly enjoy Quid.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The interview process had 4 rounds: 2 phone interviews and 2 on-sites. They didn't ask for my resume after the initial screens and case studies. The team is friendly, but be aware of the 'free consulting' aspect. The first round was a casual recruiter call about a consulting role requiring fluent Japanese and an engineering background to learn their platform. Next, I had a phone screen with the manager, which was enjoyable and informative about Quid's platform, with no technical questions yet. The first 2-hour on-site included a Quid platform demo and a consulting case study. After the on-site, I received a take-home case with a deadline to return for a 20-minute presentation to the same team. This take-home requires over 10 hours to understand Quid's platform and answer four questions (industry overview, key innovation and topics, competitive landscape, business situation). Be mindful of the time commitment; I managed 8-10 hours while traveling to prepare a deck. I enjoyed working with the platform and improved my slides after the presentation, sending them to the team. HR notified me within 24 hours that I wasn't a fit. I enjoyed meeting the team and discussing my background and language interests, though they couldn't test my Japanese. I'm unsure what they're seeking but hope they find the right candidate.
