Teacher
I went to a job fair and talked to a few different schools. They were all really nice. They asked me 6 questions and said they'd get back to me if they liked my answers.
- Could you describe the teaching strategies you employ?
Finance Manager
They initially said it was a meet and greet, and when I asked if it was an interview, the admin said no. It was only scheduled for half an hour. It turned out to be a panel interview where they read questions from a script and I didn't get to ask any questions.
- Can you share an instance where you collaborated with a school board?
Teacher
First, you gotta make an online profile on the district's website. You'll need to upload your resume, three recommendation letters, and your fingerprint clearance. Then, you fill out an online resume. After that, they'll call you to set up an initial interview with the vice principal, the principal, and the department chair for your subject. They'll call you within a week after the interview with a job offer. If you take the offer, you go to the district office to finish the paperwork and get your employee badge. If you're hired over the summer, you'll get a letter inviting you to the new employee orientation, which is a week before the other teachers come back in July.
