Solutions Architect
Super smooth process. Sent my resume on LinkedIn and the recruiter got back super fast within a day. First was a chat with the recruiter. Then, I had a skills test with a take-home assignment. It involved coding around a few datasets in Scala, with varying difficulty. I had 5 days but finished it in 3. Next, I met with the Lead and my future Mentor. I presented my code exercise. After that, things slowed down a bit due to the holidays, which was totally expected. Finally, I got the job offer, followed by a background check and signing the offer.

Solutions Architect
The interview process was quite thorough, involving three main stages: an initial recruiter call, followed by a first technical interview, and then a final technical interview with the Hiring Manager and another Solutions Architect. Between the second and third interviews, there was a technical assignment. For this assignment, I had flexibility in terms of tools and languages, even using ChatGPT. While Scala was the preferred language, which I hadn't used before, the company was very accommodating.
- Can you walk me through architecture slides from past projects?
- Tell me about your experience with Kubernetes.
- What's your background with Continuous Development/Integration (CD/CI)?
Solution Architect
The interview process was great, with Liam being the main contact and always available to answer questions. After an initial call with Liam, there was a technical call with a Senior Solution Architect who discussed the team's daily challenges and technologies. This was followed by a coding challenge in Scala, which was a good learning experience even with an unfamiliar language, as I received resources to help me. The final interview involved presenting a recent technical project, which led to a detailed discussion with a Senior Solution Architect and the Solution Architecture Lead about my design choices and methodologies. This discussion was constructive, allowing them to understand my perspective and for me to gain knowledge on topics like the Linux filesystem cache. The whole process was seamless and enjoyable, making me excited to join Quantexa. Thanks to Liam and the team for their support and patience.
- Explain your design choices and methodologies for a recent technical project.
- Give a technical presentation to solve a business problem.
