I had a phone call with a really pleasant recruiter. It was mostly a generic background check, then she talked a lot about the company, more than about me. After that, I was given a programming test.

After the coding challenge, I went through three rounds of interviews that included both behavioral and technical questions. The technical interviews were quite challenging, just as I expected. I did my best to solve the problems and luckily passed. The whole hiring process was really smooth and organized, which was very impressive. Both the HR and the interviewers seemed like professionals who provide top-notch service. I feel so lucky to have gotten this job. My advice to future applicants is to explain your thought process as clearly as possible to the interviewers. How you arrive at a solution might be more important than the solution itself.

There were 3 phone interviews, one of which was technical. Then there were onsite interviews with 5 rounds of interviewers ranging from managers to directors. The whole process finished with a final behavioral interview with an hr rep. The interviews started with lunch and meeting someone from the department I would join. Then it moved into either 1:1 or 2:1 interviews. Three interviewers asked me standard algorithm questions and I had to write solutions on a whiteboard.

- Given a tree structure with parent/child nodes and two starting points, how would you programmatically find the lowest common denominator node when traversing up the tree, given that you cannot know if a parent node has children or how many it has?
