Executive Administrative Assistant
My interview for an Executive Administrative Assistant role in the Department of Defense happened years ago. It was conducted virtually over the phone. The interviewer was nice and helpful, but also got straight to the point.
- Can you explain how your past experience aligns with the requirements of this specific position?
Analyst
It was a pretty relaxed and smooth interview process. They started with a phone screening with HR. Then, I had an in-person interview with two managers at their main office. I didn't have to wait too long for the next steps, and they were really good at communicating throughout.
- Could you describe your internship experiences?
- What kind of opportunities did you get through your school courses?
- What was your awareness of our company before this?
Information Management Analyst
The hiring process was pretty straightforward. The first interview was a general phone screening that touched on behavioral aspects and included a quick review of my resume. After that, I had a second interview with a team lead. This interview felt more like a casual conversation where they gave a good overview of the company, the position, and the type of work involved. It was great that the interviewer seemed really enthusiastic about the company and the work.
- Can you share your experience with communicating with others, both in writing and verbally?
Technical Writer/Editor
It was a quick and easy process, but you need to have knowledge about the government. They made me travel all the way to Springfield, VA for the interview, which could be difficult if you don't have a car.
- Can you describe your approach to handling sensitive information?
