It was pretty easy, they mostly asked about my past experiences and if I could coach and instruct people. I also had to show I knew how to fillet fish and stuff, and some other fish process terms. They also wanted to ask about wild vs farm raised fish.

I found out about the cashier opening from a sign in the store window and applied online. I had applied before, but didn't hear back, so I reapplied. A few days later, I got a call back to schedule an interview, but I missed it. I called back the next morning, but the hiring manager wasn't in yet. I had to call back a few hours later. She asked my availability, and I said Friday or Saturday would work. She offered me a 1:30 PM interview slot on Friday. I got there about 10 minutes early, but had to wait in the break room until she arrived. She was friendly and told me that while I was qualified, current employees had also applied for the position. She asked if I was interested in other roles if that happened, and I said I'd be okay with front-end/bagging. We went through the interview questions, and she said she'd call within a week. She never called, but I saw her at the store and she told me an internal candidate got the job. I was disappointed, but it was convenient since I live nearby.

Applied online and got a call from QFC corporate about 3 days later for my interview. They asked some basic questions and explained the job. Since my store doesn't have a customer service desk, I went to the deli/bakery and told someone I had an interview. They called the hiring manager, and I went to a small office for the interview, which lasted about 10 minutes. I was pretty nervous and fumbled over my words, but the manager was really nice. They offered me the job the next day. It was mostly 'what would you do' and 'describe a time' type questions.

Got invited to a 30 min interview which ended up being 45 mins long. I showed up and met with the HR person who asked me some basic retail questions like 'Tell me about a time when...' which felt pretty standard. After that, I met briefly with the head of the Deli department. They asked me one or two basic questions, like why I was interested in working in the Deli, how many hours I was looking for, and my availability. I got an offer right away, then had to do a quick 5-minute saliva drug test on the spot.
