It was chill, we talked about personal stuff, nothing complicated. They gave me space to explain who I am, why I'm applying, and what I aspire to. The usual.

The most chaotic interview I had ever encountered. I applied via LinkedIn and 1 hour later the hiring manager was asking me if I could join the interview for the same day in about 2 hours. In the meeting, I had to wait a few minutes after the hiring manager since he was late. When he finally came on, he started asking me technical questions, no job presentation, nothing at all. He kept interrupting me and would not let me speak. When he heard at what company I was working for, he shared his screen and asked me to debug his one of his applications. Then, he asked me to share my screen in order for him to see how I arrange my emails into folders. He kept complaining about my folders. Afterwards, he shared his screen with me and showed me his real client database. It still blows my mind that this person works in a cybersecurity company since I got access to very personal information in about 30 mins that I should have not had access to. He also asked me my present salary and when started avoiding to give him an exact number he started saying "I want to know how much X (the company where I work) is willing to pay for you!" Basically he said he wants my exact salary in order to know what offer to make me. When I still stated I would prefer not to disclose this information, he gave me some random numbers that were indeed high numbers if you don't care whatsoever about your mental health in the workplace. Overall, he told me there would be a next interview where I would have to "sell myself" through a presentation and that I was fine but I am not willing to do another interview with him for no amount of money.

Had a quick call to check my fit for the role and if I would proceed. They asked about my previous experience, projects on my GitHub, and my interest in the job. These were the nicest interviewers I've met. It's rare for hiring managers to actually download and run projects from GitHub like they did. Super impressed, wish more companies did this!

I interviewed with my potential supervisor and a team lead first. Then, I had a meeting with the President and some other management people. The environment was really professional but also pretty chill and relaxed. Everyone was nice, and they talked about Qualis and the contract I'd be working on if I got the job.
