I had a 30 minute screening call, and at the end of it, they told me they wanted to set up time for me to meet with the manager for my potential department. She then said she would speak internally and get back to me, which I assumed meant to schedule a meeting. I sent a thank you email, but I received a standard rejection email saying, "Unfortunately, we will not be moving forward in the recruiting process." It was completely unprofessional.

The interview process with Qualio was super easy, way better than other tech places. The recruiter was really cool and patient, understanding my situation and getting expectations aligned from the start. We had 3 chats before I committed. The interviews included a technical one where we built a feature, covering API design, database modeling, and deployment. It felt more like chatting than an interview. Then there was an HR interview with behavioral questions, and finally, one with senior leadership about my career, software, and product knowledge. It took 3 days, an hour each day, and I heard back within a week. It was a great experience, and I'm happy I accepted the offer!

Technical Behavioral Other

The whole thing took about 4 weeks from the first chat to the offer. We kicked things off with a chat with two leads, which felt more like a discussion about how to build stuff rather than a tough interview. Then I spoke with HR for a behavioral chat. After that, I had a chat with the VP of Engineering, who was super nice and asked me about my past work and if I had any worries about working remotely, plus some situational questions like 'tell me about a time you did X and how was the process'. The next step was meeting the incoming manager for the team I'd be joining, which felt a bit extra but I guess it was a meet-and-greet since the team is new. The offer came the day after that. The interviews were spaced about a week apart, which made it feel a bit drawn out.

Behavioral Case

The interview process with Qualio was the best I’ve experienced! The recruiters were super transparent, guiding me through everything, and upfront about who I'd meet. They sent a detailed email outlining the process with links to everyone's LinkedIn, so I knew who I was talking to. There was a take-home assignment that felt fair and let them see my work style and experience. Interviewing with various team members helped me understand who I'd be working with and get a feel for the culture through different team perspectives.
