The interview process was smooth and professional. It started with a short phone screening, then I had two technical interviews. The interviewers were friendly and focused on fundamental hardware concepts, problem-solving, and basic circuit analysis. So, Qualcomm visited our campus for 3 hardware roles, I interviewed for the SOC verification role. First was an online assessment with negative marking. It had 3 sections: Aptitude (easy to moderate, 30 mins, 20 Qs), C programming (moderate, 30 mins, 20 Qs), and Digital (moderate to hard, 30 mins, 20 Qs). Then there were technical rounds. Round 1 was about 20 mins, where they asked for my introduction, discussed my projects, explained the role, and asked about my career plans for 5 years and why I'm interested in Qualcomm. They also threw in some C programming questions about arrays and algorithms. Round 2 was about 40 mins, focusing more on technical concepts like ring oscillators, setup/hold times, STA, binary search, op-amp circuits, clock concepts (skew, jitter), synchronizers, cache memory (lines, dirty bits), watchdog timers, SRAM vs DRAM, and Verilog. There were also two aptitude questions about gates and a cube. Finally, there was an HR round, which was short (5-10 mins), asking about me, my skills, hobbies, family, strengths, and preferred location.
