I thought I did pretty well on the questions, but I never heard back. They were pretty fast with the initial screening, but I didn't even get a rejection email like I usually do for other jobs. I was kind of hopeful I had a shot. If the job market is this tough, it would be nice to get some kind of feedback or consideration.

After my resume got shortlisted, I went through three rounds of interviews. The first round was mainly about stuff on my resume: embedded systems basics, power optimization, RISC vs CISC, and microcontrollers like 8086, 8051, and ARM Cortex-M. The second round dove into OS concepts and practicals, covering reversing a linked list, general OS stuff, and power-saving strategies for operating systems. The last round was a general chat with some logic and reasoning questions.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • If you were to imitate an existing OS like Windows, how would you go about it, and how would you tell if it wasn't the correct choice?
