So the first part was like an HR screening, and they asked me some behavioral questions and a few basic technique questions, like asking for examples of variance reduction methods. The person interviewing me was really nice and happily answered all my questions about the company. Then, I moved on to the next round with the department head. This round was way more technical, covering topics like martingales, option pricing, interest rate models, and C++ programming.

Got contacted by an external recruiter who tried to sell me the job and the team. At first they seemed interested, then they weren't. Finally, I managed to get an interview. The interviewer was not nice and explained wrong concepts about software engineering. It was clear it wasn't going to work, and they didn't even ask if I had questions, just said goodbye and ended the interview. I get that you know when it's a no, but you should still try to end an interview properly. I told my recruiter I was no longer interested, and he said the other side felt the same. Terrible experience, do not recommend.

First, you'll do a quick self-intro, then share your experience. After that, we'll ask some basic questions about index maintenance. For the second round, you'll need to answer position-related questions. This is the main part where managers check your practical knowledge. They'll send you documents with technical info, formulas, and rules (about 300 pages) beforehand. Make sure to go through it carefully.

They did email a short test of financial and programming knowledge an hour before the interview which made the process slightly more daunting as it caught me off guard. However, overall I thought it was a fair test and they gave plenty of time during the interview to allow me to tackle the questions. However, they took over a month to initially get back to me and never got back to me on the result of my interview. Only after I repeatedly emailed did I get a response confirming that the application was unsuccessful. That is absolutely fine and I can understand their decision but I strongly believe applicants have a right to be informed of these decisions and was disappointed with the unprofessionalism here.
