Behavioral Technical Coding System Design

I interviewed for a frontend-heavy software engineer position. The interview process was really smooth and the interviewers were super friendly and polite. They conducted the interviews in a relaxed way which helped me feel less pressure and do better. The questions were mostly easy to medium, focusing on JS fundamentals, React concepts, and machine coding. The whole thing had 4 rounds: the first was a chat with the team manager with some basic questions, and the next three were all technical, diving deep into JS core concepts, DSA, and React coding problems. I managed to pass all rounds and got an offer. The HR team was great, giving feedback and staying in touch from the first call all the way to the joining date. It was a really wonderful experience overall.

Technical Coding System Design Presentation

The interview process started with a brief chat with the recruiter, Ian Wright, who was super responsive. Next, I had a technical screening with the hiring manager, who would be my direct report if I got the job. Then, there were one or two interviews with different team members, which could have involved a take-home project or technical questions related to the role. Got the offer a few days after the last interview.

Behavioral Technical

I went through a phone screen with HR, then another phone screen with an interviewer, and finally face-to-face panel interviews. Qlik's BI products are impressive, but the culture there is not. It felt like they were trying hard to be Google or Yahoo, but it came off more like a day care center with lots of very young people using 'Dude!' in the hallways. The people I met were nice but clearly young and inexperienced. Four out of five were dressed in jeans, sneakers, and pretty crappy sweatshirts. One guy had an 8-inch high spiked mohawk with beads in it. Whether it's true or not, the impression I got was that I'd be babysitting them as part of my job. If you're fresh out of college, it might be fun. If you're an experienced IT person, you might just roll your eyes like I did.
