The interview process began with a few phone interviews to sort candidates. Then, there was an on-site interview at US Corporate in Radnor, PA, with the Executive Team. A key aspect they focused on was finding candidates who would fit their company culture. While most companies look for cultural fit, QlikTech, being a smaller tech company, seemed to make a special effort to avoid the mindset and culture of large tech giants like Microsoft, IBM, SAP, or Oracle when hiring new employees. That was my impression, and I completely agreed with it.

I networked to get in touch with the Inside Sales Manager and told them I was interested in working for Qlik. We had a phone call where I talked about my previous work and why I wanted to work for Qlik for about 30-45 minutes. The Inside Sales Manager gave me some homework to do over the weekend, and we'd discuss it at an on-site interview the next Monday. I went on-site 3 days after the phone interview to go over my previous work, give a demo based on info I was given, role-play a sales call based on an article, and chat with someone on the inside sales team. About 2-3 days later, I got invited for a Skype interview with the VP of Inside Sales since the whole sales org was in training. I talked about my past work and future goals. They said they'd likely offer me a job, and they did less than a week later. The whole thing took less than a week and I got the offer within two weeks of first contact.

Behavioral Technical

Got contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and answered some questions via email. Had a phone screen with the recruiter, then interviewed with the regional manager. After that, there was an in-person interview with three upper-level managers. They made an offer that week, which I accepted verbally. However, weeks later, they rescinded the offer due to an executive's territory realignment. The regional manager seemed great, but I felt strung along waiting for a formal offer that never materialized. My advice is for the organization to better equip their recruitment and management teams with accurate information to prevent this from happening to future candidates.
