Went through all stages, took 2 months. They invited me to a customer event before the final decision. Then the hiring manager went on leave for 2 weeks, avoided calls for a week, and then said they went with another candidate because of 'culture'. What a painful process.

After applying online, I got an email about a week later for an interview. The interview itself lasted 45 minutes. I felt like the company was really self-absorbed in their current success. The hiring manager had papers spread out, making me feel like just another person in a long line, not like we were having a formal meeting or sitting down to chat. They didn't try to make me feel comfortable at all, it was all about Qlik. They were vague about the territory, compensation, and how the territory was performing, only giving high-level revenue numbers when asked. It felt like a 'take it or leave it' situation, which wasn't reassuring. The base salary discussed was also low for the market.

The interview process involved 5 stages, starting with a call to my direct report, followed by interviews with peers and then with someone from a related department. Finally, I met with the Head of Communications. Throughout the process, they asked about my ideas for improving sales and strategies for customer acquisition.
