Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Qlik.
Manager
It was a really nice experience, I got to meet a lot of people from the company. Since it was during COVID, all interviews were done online. I was happy that I got to interview with the actual team I would be joining. The whole process was very clear and straightforward.
- Can you briefly describe the company's values?
Manager
Qlik interviews at least 5 people, including the hiring manager. It's tough, but they want to ensure cultural fit, not just skills. They believe anyone can learn, but personality is fixed, and a bad fit means unhappiness. Hiring only happens if all 5 agree on a good fit, making sure everyone aligns and works well together.
- Be ready for questions that go beyond your experience and focus on your work process.
- Make sure you're familiar with the company values.
- Only apply if you agree with and live by the company values.
Manager
The interview process felt like it went on forever, taking more than two months. A lot of this was because the recruiter, Nicole, often took 1-2 weeks to reply. I had to follow up several times just to get updates and move forward. They never acknowledged the communication delays. Also, after 6 rounds of interviews, I got an automated rejection email instead of a personal message.
- How was your experience with HR and communication?
