So the interview at Qlik was like two parts. First, the HR person was really good - nice and fast, got me through that part well. But the hiring manager was a different story. Even though I have years of experience with a competitor and did the same job, it took him ages to agree to talk to me. When we finally did talk, he acted surprised I knew English, even after I'd worked with US companies for years. Then he asked if I was Swedish. When I said no, he said some clients want that and then pretty much ended the interview saying I was still being considered. Three months later, I got a rejection email. It felt like my nationality mattered more than my skills. It's a bummer and not cool in today's world. Honestly, if you're not Swedish, probably don't bother applying.

The interview was just a phone call where my contact first introduced themselves for about 10 minutes and then asked me to explain my resume. After that, some technical questions were asked and sometimes questioned further.

Phoned me after a referral from a friend that worked there and recommended the company, afterward was arranged a 1:1 interview where they checked my skills and previous professional experiences and introduced the company and work environment. In the same interview I received an offer and after a month negotiating accepted and started working.
