First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at QEP Resources.
Administrative
It was a laid-back 'get to know you' chat for both sides, not a formal interview. I felt comfy but it was still professional. The manager seemed serious about the job but also cared about the staff. The questions were a bit unusual, but they got the same info as more stressful questions would, without the anxiety.
- If we find a good employee, we want you to work here, but if we want to keep a good employee, you have to *want* to work here. Do you want to work here?
Geologist
I was flown out to Denver for the interview, where I had one-on-one meetings with several people from the operations and management teams. The interviews lasted about 4 hours, and I was on my way home that same night. They made an offer pretty quickly after.
- What's your experience length in operations?
Intern
It was a really chill and fun interview process. There weren't any set questions, just a casual chat. They didn't ask STAR questions, which was a relief. The interviewers made it super comfortable and were awesome!
- Can you share some details about your background?
- Could you go over your resume with me?
Revenue Accountant
I went through one interview, which was in person and also had someone from the phone join. The whole process was pretty easy.
