First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at QDx Pathology Services.
Laboratory Aide Technician
The interview experience was very positive and comfortable. My questions were answered clearly, and the questions they asked me were respectful and invited me to highlight the qualities I would bring to their team. They gave me a tour of the labs and offices and then kindly escorted me back to the entrance where I parked. They told me I would learn their decision on Monday, and I received the email at 9am on Tuesday. Their leadership came across as being invested in the growth and success of their employees.
- Can you describe your leadership style?
Technician
The interview was in person and pretty serious. Dr. Quershi seemed a bit unfocused but generally fair. We met in his office, and I sat there answering his questions, which were not too hard. The hardest one was about converting ounces to milliliters fast. Nothing too complex. They were really trying to hire staff, this was during COVID.
- What is your experience and education?
Finance Director
Interview with the owner, operations director, and an investor. The environment felt unprofessional; the owner was late for the 10 am interview, arriving at 10:30. They took calls during the interview, including a 15-minute one about their home landline issue. The owner left the room multiple times without explanation, and others came in and out to discuss unrelated matters. The offered salary was significantly below market rate and non-negotiable. It doesn't seem like a desirable place to work.
- Complete an MS Excel test focusing on basic pivot tables.
Sales Representative
Started with two quick phone calls, one to chat about the lab and the other about my sales background. Then I met the national and regional sales managers in person. The last step was at the lab, meeting with the medical director and the corporate team.
- What was your most significant achievement in your previous role?
- Can you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
