Technical Coding Presentation

The process started well with clear updates, good communication, and positive feedback after each stage. I completed all interviews and assessments successfully and was told things were moving toward an offer. Then, without warning, the process ended because my salary expectation was “over budget.” This figure was clearly stated at the very first application stage. If it was beyond budget, it should have been addressed right away and not after weeks of interviews, take-home work, and document sharing. Extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time!

Behavioral Technical

Had an initial call with a data scientist where we talked about my past experiences and how QBE is structured. It wasn't a super technical chat, but I got to ask them a lot of questions, which was good. Then, I was given a take-home data science task. The task was to build a model for claim frequencies using a dataset they supplied. I didn't get any further in the process and wasn't happy about not getting any feedback, especially after having to do a take-home task like that.

Behavioral Technical

The interview had a behavior questions part and a technical questions part. The technical questions part was more substantial, covering past experience with technologies, difficult situations, and explanations of forecasting models. Preparation for the technical questions is highly recommended.
