It was pretty simple and easy for an intern spot. Mostly asked about my background, what I've done before, and if I was interested in the job. Didn't get too technical. Felt like a chat to see if I'd fit in and if I had the basic skills.

I applied online and a recruiter reached out to me initially to set up a screening call with general questions about yourself, the role and company. afterwards I had the 2nd round with the actual hiring manager for the position (also behavioural). final round was 2 back to back panel interviews.

It started with a quick 20-30 min phone chat with HR about my interest in the role and what I'd gain from the internship, plus they gave an overview of the program. After that, I had an online video interview with three team members. It felt pretty casual, almost too much so, and I wasn't sure if they'd prepped many questions. They asked about my ideas for using the data, why I wanted to work in Austin, what I knew about the company, and my interest in the company and the role. Since it was data analysis/visualization focused, there weren't any technical questions. I didn't hear back for two weeks, and then I saw on my workday profile that I wasn't selected. The whole thing was pretty straightforward, especially coming from an engineering background where technical interviews can be way more intense. The people seemed nice and the recruiters were good, but the team's vibe wasn't really my style, which made it hard to stay motivated. They did keep candidates updated though, so I'd tell others to keep checking their profile if they don't hear back quickly.
