Project Manager
I met with the Director of Operation and the HR manager at their hotel while visiting a job site in CA. The interview process was fairly simple and they did not ask very many hard hitting questions. I told them about my experience and asked them some questions about the position and left after an hour of speaking with them. I did not hear from anyone until 3 week later when HR called me and asked me "So how did you like meeting the team and seeing the office location?" I explained to him that I never heard back from anyone so I believe he called the wrong person. He said that was "weird" and that he would call someone to figure out what happened, that was 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard back from anyone since.
- Can you tell me about yourself and the projects you have managed?
- What kind of projects have you worked on?
Project Manager
The process was great and moved smoothly. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and getting a tour of the building. They really welcomed me, and I felt at home.
- How would you handle issues at Qmatic, and why should they hire you?
- What are your reasons for us to hire you?
Human Resources Manager
A recruiter from overseas reached out via email. After a successful phone interview, I was invited for an in-person meeting before Thanksgiving. Due to the VP of HR's travel schedule, the on-site interview was delayed by three weeks. I met with the VP of HR and the CEO. The interview lasted an hour and seemed to go well. I was informed that the final round would be a video conference the following week. However, I never heard back, and my follow-up emails to the recruiter went unanswered. I decided not to pursue the opportunity further, reflecting on some negative reviews I had seen.
- Can you describe how you would handle HR-related issues and what actions you would take?
Director of Operations
The interview process was pretty straightforward. They asked reasonable questions and it was a professional experience. It lasted about 2 hours and was overall a good experience. The questions were a mix of non-technical and technical. They also asked some general questions about the industry.
- What are the primary challenges you face in your role as an Operations Director?
