Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Q Investments.
Intern
First, there was a phone interview. After that, I took an online test that covered both technical and behavioral topics. Finally, there was an in-house interview which was pretty relaxed, mostly just chatting with the HR people. Everyone in HR was really nice and made me feel welcome.
- How would you prioritize tasks if presented with the following scenario ABC......
Intern
First, you need to complete an online quiz/exam. If you pass, you'll have a short phone interview. After that, they'll schedule a formal interview. During the formal interview, you'll get a tour of the office, take a comprehensive exam, and speak with an HR representative. Just a heads-up, they do check your social media profiles. The interviewer will also gauge your personality and test your limits.
- Can you share your insights on various aspects of the financial market?
Intern
It began with a phone call. Then I had to complete a personality assessment. After that, I went in for an in-person interview which was pretty straightforward, focusing mostly on whether I'd be a good personality fit. Finally, there was a skills test, which also wasn't too difficult.
- Given a task from your supervisor due by day's end, and a co-worker asking for help on their project with a partner, how would you prioritize these assignments?
