I got reached out to on LinkedIN. The recruiter asked me some questions first to see if I'd make it to the technical interview. After that, I had the technical interview, and then a call with the CEO about Q Analysts. Then I went to the client's location and interviewed with the test manager. After that, I had another interview with a dev engineer. It was a pretty long process but it worked out in the end.

The first two interviews happened really quickly and I thought I did great. Then, nothing from the recruiter. I followed up a few days after the second interview, and they said they'd have feedback by the end of the day. No response that day or the next two. Since I was feeling good about it, I figured there was just a delay and followed up again several days later. They got back to me in a day or two, still no feedback, and said they'd let me know when they heard anything. It's been a month now. Obviously, I get that this is the usual drill and after a week of waiting, it's pretty clear they're not interested. But seriously, what's with the industry now? Who's even recruiting? Is it that hard to just send a quick email saying 'we went with someone else'? Super unprofessional.

A recruiter reached out to me directly, even though I hadn't applied. They were really enthusiastic and thought my background was a great match. After that, there were a few more calls and interviews where they asked typical questions about test strategies, how I handle clients, and my general experience. The last interview was scheduled for late evening, around 7 PM, with a senior manager, which I thought was a bit unusual but agreed to. The recruiter said I'd hear back, but they never did. I even sent a thank you note the next day, assuming they were just finalizing things or prepping an offer, but got no response. I definitely wouldn't recommend a company that leaves candidates hanging like this.
