First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PyraMax Bank.
Personal Banker
I started at PyraMax Bank as a Universal Banker. After applying online, I had a phone interview within a few days. Then, I had an in-person interview with the managers I would report to. I got the job offer about two hours after the second interview and started the next day. They also like to promote from within. When I applied for the Personal Banker job, I interviewed the next day and got the offer the same day. The company definitely knows what they want in an employee.
- What qualities do you value in a manager?
Teller
I applied online and got a call the same day to set up an interview. The interviewer was really nice and friendly. I felt like she wanted to learn about me and my skills, not just ask standard questions from a list. I had to take a teller assessment, which was pretty easy because I have experience.
- What sparked your interest in Pyramax bank?
- Given the other candidates, what makes you the best choice for us to proceed with?
Customer Service Representative
The hiring process was great because I got to meet a lot of people from corporate and my potential manager. They were really good about getting back to me with updates and letting me know about follow-up dates quickly. I didn't feel like I had to wait too long to hear back about the job.
- What made you interested in working for Pyramax Bank?
Bank Teller
Applied online and then got a call to set up the first interview. The first interview was a sit-in for about 20-30 minutes. After that, there was a computer assessment/skill test about being a teller, which lasted about 45 minutes, and it was timed. I was called back for a second interview at the branch that was hiring a teller. They asked similar questions about my customer service and cash-handling experiences. They also asked how I handled a frustrating customer and what I look for in a leader.
- How have you handled a difficult customer in the past?
- Can you share an example of a time you dealt with a frustrating customer and how you managed the situation?
