First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PuzzleHR.
Payroll Specialist
It was a standard interview process. First, I spoke with a recruiter over the phone about general stuff. Then, I met with the hiring manager to discuss the job details and requirements more. Finally, I had a meeting with the department director that felt pretty similar to the first interview.
- Can you tell me why you are looking to leave your current role?
- What specific skills do you have that would make you a great candidate for Puzzle HR?
- What are your expectations regarding salary?
Client Experience Project Manager
Had a quick 30 minute call. It was all about personality questions, nothing about my work history. They said they'd get back to me by the end of the week, but I never heard back. I've sent a few emails and still nothing. Really disappointing experience, especially for an HR company.
- Can you tell me three words that best describe you?
- What three words would your co-workers use to describe you?
- What's your reason for leaving your current job?
HR Manager
I applied online and then got called for an initial quick interview. After that, they invited me back for two more rounds. They told me the minimum salary for the role upfront and I shared my salary expectations. In the end, they offered me a salary lower than their stated minimum, giving a lot of excuses and saying unprofessional things, like how they can't pay market value because they're a startup. They expect experienced, strategic HR people but want to pay them like entry-level transactional HR staff.
- Can you share details about your professional background and past experiences?
- Could you describe the general responsibilities and scope of an HR department?
- Tell me about your general experience in HR.
Human Resources Program Manager
I had 3 really in-depth Zoom interviews. The whole process and how they communicated was super smooth. You could really get a feel for Puzzle's great company culture right from the first chat. Everyone I talked to was both professional and friendly. It was a genuinely great interview experience overall.
- Can you tell me about your basic experience?
- How would you handle some specific situations?
