First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Purpose Brands.
Director of Franchise Development
Interviewing with the team was somewhat interesting. The company seemed to be in the middle of a merger, which made things feel a bit disorganized. The recruiter mentioned this role was for the Woodbury, MN team, but I didn't get much upfront info on the commission structure, which they said would come later. The whole process is about 4-5 rounds, including one in-person at HQ in Woodbury, MN.
- Can you share which CRM systems you've used in your past positions?
Director
Met with the hiring manager, some team members, and the manager's boss. It was a pretty standard interview process overall. They focused a lot on the company's unique culture and how I'd fit into it.
- What would you do if a particular situation was occurring?
- How would you respond to a hypothetical scenario?
- What is your approach when faced with a specific challenge?
Customer Service Associate
The interview process started with a phone call, then I had an in-person interview. The in-person part had two sections: first, I met with my potential boss one-on-one. After that, I went to the cubicle area to meet the team of about 10 people I'd be working with. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. They asked me about my past jobs and why I wanted this particular position. I asked them why they enjoyed their jobs, and they were all really happy to share. I could totally see myself working there because it seemed like a great environment with people who genuinely liked working together. I left feeling both relaxed and really excited about the job.
- Could you share an instance where you made a mistake and describe how you handled it?
Communications Specialist
First, there was a 15-minute phone call with the hiring manager. Then, a one-hour interview with two people from the department. After that, I got sent 3 communications exercises by email, and I had a week to complete them.
- How do you handle uncertainty?
- Can you tell me your top three strengths and weaknesses?
- What would be your first steps in ghostwriting for a CEO?
