The interview process had three steps and was pretty straightforward. I got an offer within two weeks, and I accepted it. But then, just three days before I was supposed to start, the company called me on Zoom to say they were taking back the job offer. The worst part is that I had turned down other interview opportunities to accept their offer. Now I'm back to looking for a full-time job, which is frustrating after two months of searching. This isn't a good way to treat people.

Project Manager
I started with Leigh Anne Wauford, the director of talent management. We had a full hour screener where she said she'd make it a conversation and not a typical interview, which was super refreshing after a bunch of frustrating interviews. She was invested in our chat and we covered everything about the role, department, and company. She was honest, informative, and easy to talk to. I felt like she understood my skills and what I'm looking for, and I left with my questions answered and excited about the team. She's a top professional! My next two interviews were with my direct manager and another manager I'd work with, and they were just as pleasant, informative, and interactive. We talked like professionals about their pain points, how I'd fix them, and how I'd contribute. No boring interview questions! They also made me feel like my time was important. I left both interviews excited to join this team. I wanted to work with both managers, who seemed happy in their jobs. The whole thing took about two weeks, which is wild after six months of searching. Communication was fast, clear, helpful, and everyone was a joy to talk to. Kudos to PureRED for this culture.
- We discussed my fit for the team and the team's fit for me.
Proofreader
I was contacted by email for remote Proofreader positions. We had a virtual interview over MS Teams where we did introductions, they gave an overview of the job, and then we did Q&A. The interviewers were very friendly and welcoming. Since they were hiring quickly, I actually interviewed for a few different roles before they found the best match for me.
- How effectively do you work with others?
- Can you tell me about a time you had to de-escalate a conflict?
- Describe a time a client was dissatisfied.
Strategic Planner
I don't normally write reviews, but I was very impressed with the interview experience and thought I should share. Deborah Rosta (HR Manager), was extremely kind, professional and organized. With her help, the entire process went smoothly & seamlessly. We started off with an introductory phone call--an opportunity for both of us to establish fit-- and ended the call with plans to schedule in-person meetings. Since I work in NYC, Deborah was very respectful of my time and created a schedule that allowed me to meet with 4 people in just one morning. I arrived at the meetings feeling comfortable and welcomed; I left the meetings feeling energized and excited about the role and the team I'd be working with. Deborah got back to in a timely manner with feedback from these meetings. Though, for personal reasons, I ended up not being able to accept the offer at this time, I absolutely plan on staying in touch with Deborah about future opportunities.
