Got an email to schedule an interview for the role. When the scheduled interview day arrived, the recruiter didn't call. I emailed her, and she gave an excuse that the interview wasn't added to her calendar. I rescheduled for another time. On that day, the recruiter called, but as soon as I picked up, the call ended. I called back several times and emailed her. She said she was busy with a hiring manager and would send a link to reschedule again, but I never heard back. It felt like my time was wasted and not taken seriously. I've never seen such unprofessional behavior.

So I applied for the Junior Graphic Designer role and heard back from HR about 3 weeks later. I had two brief phone interviews with her, which were pretty straightforward. Then, I spoke with the hiring manager and some team members over the phone. They seemed really into it and asked some solid questions. I sent a thank you card within a week, and they even emailed back to say thanks for it. A couple of weeks after that, I got an email saying they decided they needed someone with more experience, which felt a little weird for a junior role, but they were definitely interested in me and I felt a good connection with them.

I applied online for an admin job but the recruiter thought another job fit me better. We had a phone interview that seemed to go well, and she said she'd set up an interview with the hiring manager for the next week. Two days later, I got a template email saying they went with another candidate. This was confusing, and I thought maybe it was a mistake, but it wasn't. I know the job market is tough, but the way this happened was odd. I asked the recruiter, and she said the hiring manager just wanted someone else at the last minute.

Had a 45-minute phone call with HR for this role. Given my extensive background, I felt like I was way ahead of the interviewer and wasn't sure what they were looking for, as it wasn't experience. When I brought up salary, which they asked about, there was an awkward silence. Since it's a salary plus commission job, typically salary reflects your past earning potential, but it seemed like the most crucial part of the conversation for them. I have over 15 years of experience, and this company has only been around for 8 years. Perhaps they felt intimidated. They never gave me a direct answer on salary, saying it was up to the manager. I'm considering this a red flag. Despite them viewing my LinkedIn profile, I never received a callback.
