First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Publix LTD.
Cashier
The interview for the cashier job was super easy and chill. The manager asked me stuff about customer service, my availability, and how I'd deal with different scenarios. It felt more like chatting than a real interview. They were really nice and I felt good the whole time. They let me know in a few days. It was fast and nice.

Software Engineer Intern
I had a basic interview with some technical questions like what is SQL, what is object oriented programming, and what syntax would you use to do this. They also asked some basic behavioral questions, such as what's your greatest flaw and what's your greatest strength.
- Can you explain what SQL is?
- Could you define object-oriented programming?
- What syntax would be used for this task?
Senior Marketing Data Analyst
I went through several rounds of interviews. The interviewers were really nice and I actually enjoyed the process. It started with a screening assessment, then I met with the hiring manager, followed by a technical panel, then technical managers, and finally senior managers. I finished all the rounds, but unfortunately, I didn't get an offer in the end.

Pharmacy Technician
First, you'll submit an application online or in-person at one of their stores. Make sure your resume is updated and highlights relevant experience. If your application is picked, you might get a phone call from a recruiter or hiring manager for an initial screening. This chat usually covers your availability, interest in the job, and basic qualifications. If you pass the initial screening, you'll be invited for an in-person interview. This was a one-on-one interview with the pharmacy manager. They might ask about your customer service experience, teamwork skills, and how you handle certain situations. For some jobs, you might need to complete an assessment test. This could be personality tests, skills assessments, or problem-solving exercises. Publix usually does a background check on potential employees. This can include checking your employment history, criminal record, and sometimes a drug test. If you pass all the steps, you might get a job offer. The offer will have details about your role, salary, and other terms.
