I had a phone interview with the director, a developer, and a QA. It was a daily thing, with PHP questions about the language and some server-related ones. They also asked what I would do if I triggered the site and it's a blank page, and the difference between php operators.

Behavioral Presentation

I was called in for an in-person interview for the Director of Ecommerce position back in April 2019. The interview was quite long, over 3 hours. A VP mentioned she thought I might be a better fit for a role that wasn't defined yet. About a month later, HR contacted me about this 'role,' saying it would be a Manager level. I was interested and agreed to come back because I liked the VP and the hiring manager, and the location was convenient. Another month passed, and HR called again, mentioning a 'restructuring' but assuring me they hadn't forgotten about me. So, by July, three months after our initial conversation, I was asked back for a third time. They explained the new 'role,' and we discussed salary. I gave them my requirements, and HR asked if I'd join if they could meet that number, which I agreed to. A week later, I followed up with my HR contact, only to get an auto-reply that she had left the company. I then emailed the person on her auto-reply, who promised to reach out soon. Another week passed with no contact, then another. Fast forward to August, and I was invited for a third in-person interview. I assumed it was an offer, but it wasn't. I met with the CMO and hiring manager, who told me the role had been restructured again and asked if I was okay with the new setup. I agreed. A week after that, I received a call with an offer that was 5% lower than the salary we had agreed upon. I asked for a day to think about it, as I found it absurd given the 3+ months of interviews and discussions. I emailed to request a call and provided salary research from Glassdoor and LinkedIn to show their offer was below market value. My emails were ignored. I sent another email, still no response. Three days after receiving the offer, and after two more emails from me, the offer was rescinded. HR claimed it was because I 'ignored her request for a call,' which is false. The unprofessional and unethical treatment and business practices I witnessed were unbelievable. I have extensive experience in various organizations and have navigated many career ups and downs, but this experience was on another level of pettiness, unprofessionalism, and deception. Honesty and transparency would have been respected, even if they had changed their minds. I advise proceeding with caution.

I was initially lovebombed. They contacted me right away and I spoke with several people. The interviewers kept saying how much I would love it there and how I'd fit right in. They even had me do some work before the interview. I put together a presentation with what I thought were the best ideas and approach they had ever seen, and they were super impressed. But then... they never called me back or offered me the job. It took months to get a rejection letter. A clue should have been when one of the interviewers said not to expect to hear anything because they interview 10 people a week and haven't hired anyone.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had an initial chat with HR, then met and was interviewed by four other people. After that, I met with the VP. The whole thing lasted over 3 hours. Then I had to meet with HR one more time. The vibe was good, and most people were great. They never told me I didn't get the job, just stopped talking to me and didn't reply to my emails or calls, which was pretty rude.
