It was a smooth and easy process. First, they reviewed my application and resume. Then, there was an initial screening, which was a phone or video call to check my basic qualifications and see if I was a good fit. Finally, I had a first interview, which was a longer conversation with the hiring manager about my experience and skills.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process involved a series of discussions covering various aspects of search analysis. Initially, there was likely a recruiter call to discuss the role and logistics. This was followed by a technical screen where my knowledge and skills in search analysis were evaluated. The final stage was an onsite interview, which probably included a mix of technical and problem-solving assessments. They asked detailed questions about SEO strategies, content optimization, link building, analytics, PPC, and how I handle challenges and stay updated in the field. They also wanted to hear about my communication skills and past project successes.

Got referred by a friend who used to freelance with them to their recruiter. She called me to chat about my background, then ran my work by the team and set up an interview for the next morning. I met with two ECDs a week later. They were cool and really liked my work. I had to present 3 projects out of the 8-10 I prepped, and then they told me about the job. The whole thing was about 45 min. I accidentally mentioned I was talking to other companies, and the recruiter told me later this made them rush to contact me that same day.

I interviewed with several team members for the openings that were pretty typical for PM roles. I wasn't asked anything particularly out of the ordinary during these interviews and they seemed to have went well. However, after 4 interviews, I have not heard back from the company in 2 weeks even after reaching out. I understand that things are often unstable these days, but after 4 interviews it is inconsiderate to ghost a candidate instead of politely let them know you will not be moving forward.
