Customer Service Representative
This was not a real interview experience, it was very disappointing and dismissive. There was no in-person interview. I was dismissed via email instead of a call. I thought I had been accepted because I met all the requirements and criteria.
- What did you expect from the job?
Customer Service Representative
So I applied and then had to wait a bit for the hiring manager to call me for a verbal interview. That went well, then I had a face-to-face interview with the district manager at the Oltorf location. A week later I got an email saying they were going with other people. Then, three weeks later, they told me to reapply and I talked to the hiring manager again, but didn't get to the district manager interview this time. Got another rejection email. Apparently, a business degree wasn't enough for this entry-level job since I didn't have retail experience, even though I was a full-time student getting my degree. They basically require retail experience for all roles, no matter how much training they offer.
- Can you tell me what you know about Public Storage?
- What would your previous employer say about your performance?
- Have you had any retail experience before?
Customer Service Representative
The interview started okay, with the interviewer asking lots of questions that I answered. In the end, I think they weren't hiring for sure because I basically passed the phone interview, so why couldn't I get a face-to-face one? They just emailed saying they can't offer me the position.
- Are you currently employed?
