First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PUBLIC Hotels.
Events & Catering Specialist
I applied through the school portal and then had an interview with the director of marketing. It took 3 weeks for them to get back to me. It was a normal interview with only behavioral questions, no technical ones.
- Could you tell me about yourself?
- What makes you want to work for this company?
Breakfast Server
It was pretty chill. I met all the managers in a single day, which was way better than having to wait around for weeks to meet everyone. They were really welcoming and pretty much told you right away if you had a shot at the job.
- What makes you want to join our team?
- Tell me about a food you really enjoy.
- How do you define excellent customer service?
Marketing Intern
It was a pretty standard behavioral interview. Nothing tricky. They asked me some basic questions about myself.
- Could you introduce yourself and share what you enjoy doing?
- What would you consider your greatest weakness?
- What are your passions?
Public Advisor
They used an external company to do the hiring for the team. It was a mix of phone interviews and in person meetings. They also had a social event, like drinks, to get a feel for personalities.
- How do you demonstrate your passion for travel?
