First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Public Goods.
Marketing Manager
My interview process at Public Goods was super fast and easy. The HR director hit me up on LinkedIn and sent a message about the company and founders. I liked the founder story and set up my first interview with the hiring manager for an hour. After I got through that, I chatted with a consultant and then met with team leads in the last round. No case studies or pre-hire projects, which I appreciated because they focus on who you are and your experience, not getting free work. It was a great interview experience, and I recommend checking out their careers page. Love the people-first culture.

Recruiter
I had a video screen with Public Goods back in March 2021. It was only supposed to be 15 minutes, but my interviewer showed up 5 minutes late. On top of that, they switched the role from Recruiter to HR Generalist without any warning – which was wild, because if I'd known, I would've just canceled. Super weird. The interviewer also talked over me at the end, cutting me off before I could ask all my questions. Since they were already late, I found that really rude and unprofessional. They also never followed up with me afterward. Honestly, I was pretty bummed out. I was really hoping to join an exciting CPG company like Public Goods, but the experience left a really bad impression. I wouldn't want to be on a team that treats candidates like that.

Operations Manager
I applied online and got a call to schedule a video conference. The interview went really well; the interviewer even said it was 'one of the best' conversations she'd had and that I should meet the rest of the team. That was about a month ago, and I haven't heard back, even after following up for updates. I guess I might have avoided a bad situation due to this disrespectful process. Even if it's bad news, no one deserves to be 'ghosted' by companies.

Human Resources Generalist
I had 3 rounds of interviews. First, two chats with the HR Director, who was clear about the process and timeline. I enjoyed speaking with her. The last round was a panel with some team members, and they were friendly. I got a quick response about their decision.
