My chat with the hiring manager went on for 30 minutes with them just talking about random stuff and also bad-mouthing their own team's work ethic. Then they asked me to travel to another state to 'see the office' for the next round. When compensation came up, they said they couldn't meet my expectations and told me not to expect much as someone just starting out. Their whole vibe was so negative and unprofessional, I knew it wasn't the right place.

It was 3 separate interviews with 3 different people. The last one included a tour and product overview. Overall, it was mostly behavioral questions and questions about my background.

I went through two rounds of interviews: a phone screen and then a face-to-face interview. Everything was really well organized. It was great meeting the key people on the team. The office is relocating to Whitestown from Indianapolis, which is about a 20-minute commute from there.

Behavioral Technical

The interview experience was tough because the team seemed disorganized and unsure of their own process. They used generic questions, more like what you'd find in an introductory college course, instead of ones that were actually relevant to the role. It felt less like a conversation and more like a test.
