Sales Executive
Submitted an application, then waited 45 minutes because the owner was on a call. He then met me and seemed annoyed throughout the short interview, distracted by the TV. Parking was difficult and required a long walk.
- Do you have prior wholesale experience?
Sales
I applied online and then I talked to this guy Sion, he seemed French and stylish. He asked me a bunch of questions, like about why jobs changed on my resume and why I left previous jobs so quickly. We talked about pay and he said he'd get back to me.
- Could you explain your motivation for pursuing a career in sales?
- What are your financial aspirations?
- What aspects of your past employment did you find unsatisfactory?
Bookkeeper
The company mentioned they were relocating to Van Nuys, but there was no timeline. The office location felt unsafe, requiring passage through two gates and a buzzer to enter the building. Upon arrival, I observed two other candidates waiting for interviews, scheduled concurrently with mine and the same interviewer. I ended up waiting for 45 minutes for my turn, which felt like a waste of my time. I expect my appointment to be honored without having to wait for others.

Graphic Designer
I filled out an employee application even though I wasn't an employee yet. Then I waited for about half an hour before I was taken to a computer for a 25-minute skills test. The owner, Mr. Bass, who has been in business for 20 years, told me his story. The office was beautiful, but the process took too long. He offered me the job a few days later for $11.00/hour with no benefits and I had to pay for parking. I tried to negotiate, but the best he would do was $12.00/hour.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
