The TA Team at PTC has a subpar and unprofessional hiring process. I was initially contacted via LinkedIn by someone from PTC. The first step was a standard phone screener with TA, which was followed by receiving benefits information via email before the formal job description, which I found odd as I hadn't requested it. Then, I had a call set up with the hiring manager. The conversation lasted over an hour and covered standard topics. The hiring manager then outlined the next steps, which included an on-site meeting with his peers. After that, the hiring manager handed it back to TA, and then there was complete silence. They blamed vacations, being busy covering for others on PTO, and then nothing. It was a complete waste of my time. Either the rumors about PTC's culture are false, or a lot has changed recently. Their share price drop last month is a perfect indicator that they should just stick with their current approach, as things are clearly going exceptionally well.

Got reached out to by the hiring manager after they saw my resume on Indeed. There were 2 phone interviews, one with the hiring manager and another with a lower-level manager in the Inside Sales team. Things went well in those, and I realized pretty quickly they wanted me to come in for an in-person interview. I went for it, and it seemed to go okay. They mentioned they were hiring 1-2 people and interviewing about 12 candidates. I didn't hear back though. The whole process felt drawn out. If I had gotten a callback, I would have had to go through another 3-4 rounds of in-person interviews, moving up the hierarchy each time. I had to follow up with the hiring manager a couple of times to find out what was up, but he didn't have any specific feedback for me. It seems like a really good company to work for.

The interview process involved a lot of HR discussions. The manager seemed nice, but I'm uncertain about the company's future direction, as they appear confused about their strategy for transitioning from legacy to new products. The information I received varied depending on who I spoke with.
