It was a really simple interview. They wanted to know about my skills and what I've done before. They also asked about things I'm into outside of 3D. It was a normal interview, nothing weird. Always good to have your own questions ready.

I got this interview through my college for Psyop's LA office. It was with the recruitment manager and a CG supervisor. The whole thing was about 15 minutes. They looked at my demo reel a bunch, then we chatted about my past jobs. They even gave me some really useful tips on how to make my portfolio better. We also talked about the office vibe, and they said to send my portfolio again when I'm almost done with school. They really emphasized that they're a studio that looks out for its employees and trains up junior artists.

They looked at my freelance work and talked to me about salary and future career paths for a staff position. They asked about my salary expectations and first offered a low salary. I made a counter offer and they responded fast. They were nice and willing to try to meet my requests. I ended up getting a raise less than a year later because of good work.
