Social Media Manager
The interview was really unprofessional and kind of a turn-off. The hiring manager shared way too much about employees, their work styles, and even complained about their performance. They mentioned they'd hired 3 Social Media Managers in the last 3 months and none of them worked out, which felt like a big red flag. They even showed me Slack messages during the interview, which I thought was super invasive and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone given their distasteful hiring practices.

Account Manager
I first spoke with their Recruiter who was very pleasant. Scheduling was a bit tricky with some back and forth on dates and times, but we eventually got it set. I was told my first interview would be with the owner. The recruiter said the owner is a straight shooter, and he certainly came across that way. However, the interview felt more like an interrogation than a conversation. Rapport wasn't really built, I was interrupted several times, and the whole interaction left a bad impression. It was also only 10 minutes and he was over 5 minutes late. I'm sure everyone knows interviews are a two-way street. For my first interaction with PsychPlus leadership, it wasn't great. My suggestion for future interviews would be to let candidates build some rapport with team members before meeting the owner. If his role is just approval, maybe that direct chat could happen later, once a connection is made. If he needs to approve early, I'd approach it differently knowing his time is tight. Just my thoughts, but wanted to give honest feedback. I texted this to the recruiter since his emails sometimes get buried, so he'd see it. Even though the owner wanted me to move forward, I knew this wasn't the right fit.

Administrative Assistant
So this interview was unexpected. It was with the recruiter and the CEO. The CEO showed up 15 minutes late and first asked me to tell them about myself and why I was interested in the role. After I finished, they asked if I'd read the leadership guidelines, which I hadn't received. The CEO then proceeded to explain how demanding the job is, saying I'd likely cry for the first 3 months but would eventually get used to it and learn a lot. The recruiter had warned me beforehand that the CEO was blunt, and it certainly came across that way, especially for someone in a mental healthcare clinic setting. I told the CEO I'd review the guidelines and follow up, to which they simply said 'okay bye' and ended the call. The whole interview lasted about 20 minutes, with 15 of those minutes spent talking to the recruiter.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself and why you're interested in this position?
- What makes you want to work for our company?
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I first spoke with a screener, but they had already filled the position. The screener thought I was a good fit and contacted me again six months later about a different location nearer to my home. I had another interview with the screener, and then I moved on to a second interview with the Chief Clinical Officer, which went really well and seemed like a great match for what I was looking for. After the offer, the credentialing and background check process took about 2-3 weeks to finalize. Everyone was very organized and pleasant to interact with.
- The expectation for this level is that you should be competent in your job so tell me about your experience with EMR systems and hybrid work environments.
- How many patients did you see at your previous position?
