First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Psomas.
Intern
I had a panel interview with three people. It was pretty chill and they asked me one question: "What is your favorite command on autodesk?". Even though I didn't get the job, they did email me to let me know.
- Tell me about your favorite command on Autodesk.
IT Administrator
Applied online and they immediately contacted me with an interview time and MS Teams link, never asking for my availability. First round was a video call with two PMs. I talked about a good former colleague from Psomas I knew from 10 years ago and some Santa Ana office details. Then, another interview was scheduled with a random date/time/MS Teams link, again without asking for my availability. The second round was with the customer and the same two PMs. On the customer side, there was a rude, fast-talking foreigner and an older woman who kept her camera off until the end, then politely asked an IT question. After that, the two Psomas PMs started lying, saying there were too many applicants and decisions would take a long time. Two days later, the job disappeared, then a new, enhanced job for the same customer appeared the same day. I followed up via email about the original application and the new job ad. Psomas replied hours later with a rejection, saying the process was complete and they'd hired someone. I suspect the customer wanted the job ad changed to a better version by two incompetent women. This company has been getting worse for years. Even 10 years ago, a former employee warned me about it. I used to like Psomas, but now it's full of jokers and liars.
- Would you be willing to provide recommendations to our customer?
Project Analyst
Psomas uses two interviewers separately. The first call is with HR and the next is with them hiring manager. The first call is to get the basics from you, is very lightweight and friendly. The next is the hiring manager who is also a joy to talk to, they are informative, kind, but also asks knowledge questions to gauge if you're a good fit for the job.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
- What are your insights into various business aspects?
- How familiar are you with Psomas's operations?
Accounting Specialist
HR was very pleasant and communicative, but it would be nice if they collaborated more with the hiring manager on who they'd like to interview after the initial phone screen. When your interviewer acts like they're going through the motions on a complete waste of time from the moment they sit down, it turns what was a positive experience up until that point, into a negative one.
- Can you describe a time you improved a process?
