Associate Consultant
This interview process was one of the most time consuming and tedious I've ever come across. It involved four psychometric assessments (around 40 minutes each), a take-home assignment that required a full weekend of effort including in-depth research, a presentation, another hour-long online technical task, and multiple interviews. The interviewers in the final session seemed bored and disinterested, repeating questions and not allowing me to ask my own questions at the end. This was disappointing given the significant amount of time already invested in the process.
- Describe a situation where you encountered a problem at work and explain how you resolved it.
Research Analyst
The interview process began with a phone call, followed by an assessment centre. The assessment centre involved a presentation where I had to research a topic and present my findings, an interview, and two PC-based assessments focused on research and statistics. I was expecting more group activities but ended up spending five hours alone with brief check-ins. While teamwork could have been assessed through an exercise, they opted for timed individual assessments with timers being shown, which felt impersonal. During the interview portion, the interviewer frequently interrupted me to jot down answers, preventing me from fully articulating my thoughts before moving to the next question. Post-assessment, communication was slow, with a week's delay in getting feedback. Despite a promise of detailed feedback by the end of the week in an email stating I didn't get the job, I'm still waiting after three weeks.
- Could you discuss your experiences with teamwork?
- Can you share some examples of your project work?
- Are there any other experiences you'd like to highlight?
Compliance and Security Specialist
I had a really good 1-hour Teams chat with the recruiter first. They were super nice and helpful, explaining everything clearly, which made me hopeful about the company culture. Then, I had to do an online competency assessment within a few days (took about 60-90 mins). After that, I had a 1-hour interview with the director and manager, which was a totally different experience. They seemed really uninterested and unenthusiastic, like they didn't want to be there. It was awkward from the start, and they acted like robots with no expressions. The only time they showed any energy was when I asked about them. Honestly, I found them rude and cold, and I wouldn't want to work with people like that, especially in security where you need good people skills. They said they'd get back to me in 1-2 weeks, but I never heard back, and they didn't even check my assessment results before the interview, which contradicted what the recruiter said. Because of the poor communication and them not following up, I'm leaving a negative review. It's important to consider the people you'll be working with, not just the job itself. It's also disrespectful not to get back to a candidate after they've invested so much time.
- Would you be willing to adjust your work hours occasionally to align with US time zones?
Manager
Started with a quick phone chat with HR. Then I had to go to a local PSI test center for an in-person online assessment. After that, I had a phone interview with the VP (who is the hiring manager). Finally, I went to the office for an in-person interview with that same VP, the Senior VP, and three other managers.
