It was 2 video interviews. The second one was more job specific. Lots of communication from the recruiter. Make sure you know in depth details about the company and know a lot about wage garnishments for child support because they seem to have a lot of employees who fall in that category.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

This interview process went on for almost four months and involved about eleven interactions, including a trip to LA. I really liked the people I met; everyone was nice and engaging. But, the process itself was often delayed, with many interviews called 'final' before more rounds and long quiet spells. HR seemed to be trying hard with the changing info, but it felt disorganized and lacked clear leadership. They seemed really confident about me, which made the long process confusing. A hiring timeline this long suggests they struggle with making decisions, especially for a role where skills, experience, and brand fit should be obvious earlier. During my visit, they mentioned a preference for someone in Miami, which was weird since location was never brought up before. It would have been better to clear that up sooner. It also seemed a bit short-sighted considering my 17 years in the Miami market. The company has a strong startup vibe, which is cool, but needs clear communication and decisiveness, which was inconsistent. It ended with a generic rejection email. They didn't reply to my request for a feedback call, and I still haven't gotten my travel expenses back weeks later. After months of interviews, the lack of closure was disappointing and telling. Leadership shows in vision and strategy, but also in engaging respectfully during decisions. Given how well my experience matched the role, this felt like a missed chance and just plain weird. The people were nice and the brand interesting, but the internal process and leadership were lacking. Not bad people, just disorganized and unsure. I believe in confident leadership. I still like the concept and am rooting for them! 5 week update: My refund seems to be initiated but it's $45 short... it's almost funny how disorganized and wrong this is. What a mess...

After applying, they had me do an initial assessment and then a phone screening. I was then invited for a 1st interview, which was mainly to provide info about the position and gauge my interest. After that, I was invited for a 2nd and 3rd round, which I'm still waiting for. The first two interviews were virtual, and the third will be in person. It's been a good experience so far; they're very communicative and quick to respond. I'm looking forward to continuing the process.

First, they asked some basic questions from my CV. Then, the interviewer wanted me to write code for a specific scenario. They also asked about DSA sorting techniques. The aptitude test was a bit harder than I thought it would be; managing time is crucial to pass it.
