First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pryor Learning.
Marketing
The interview process was moderately difficult. A third-party recruiter working with the hiring team contacted me. I interviewed with five different people. They delayed the process for months, and then the job posting was removed. It was very disorganized and unprofessional.
- Could you please complete a work assignment?
Account Manager
I spoke with a recruiter first, and then I was connected with the hiring manager for an interview. That initial phone call went well, and I was told I would be moving on. For the second interview, I had to do a role-play exercise via Webex with the hiring manager, who provided feedback. I had 24 hours to prepare by studying the site and materials. My feedback was positive, and I was told again that I would advance to a final interview. But, then I found out they had chosen an "internal" candidate instead. With my background in HR/recruitment, I found Pryor's HR processes to be a bit concerning.
- Conduct a role-play scenario where you attempt to secure an initial call with the HR Director for a meeting.
Learning Specialist
I applied online for the Learning Specialist role via Indeed.com and got a call from them about 3 hours later to set up an interview. It was a 30 minute phone interview with the Hiring Manager. They asked me to continue with the process, but I declined because the salary was way below my minimum and they were not willing to negotiate at all.
- Can you tell me about a time a client situation, or a situation with your team, did not go as planned, and explain how you managed it?
Data Engineer
So far it has been a two step process with an two interviews, one with the hiring manager and another with the CTO. I have yet to take the second interview, but will do so soon. It is an abbreviated interview process. Quickly graduating between interviews with different stakeholders in the company.
- Can you tell me about yourself and discuss what data warehousing looks like to you?
