First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Provident Credit Union.
Marketing and Social Media Specialist
The whole interview process for an entry-level position was unnecessarily long. I applied online and had a recruiter call, 2 one hour Zoom interviews, then 3 hour in-person interviews plus a test with the manager. It was not efficient to do separate interviews when questions are repeated. The company forgot to send a rejection email or keep me updated about giving an offer to someone else. If this is how you are going to be with candidates, I can't imagine how you would treat your employees.
- What motivates you to want to work at Provident Credit Union?
Software Engineer
This was the initial recruiter call for a Sr. Software Engineer role. The job actually required both manual and automation testing. The salary offered was around $70K-$80K, which is much lower than the market rate (over $110K). This pay might be suitable for an entry-level manual tester, but not for this position. If you're currently in a role with this salary, you should consider asking for a raise or looking for a new job.

Contact Center Agent
I applied online, and then had a phone interview with HR. After that, I was invited for an in-person and technical interview with the supervisors and the AVP of the department. We talked about my resume, and they asked me some situation questions and about my background. I was then offered the position and accepted right away. The supervisors and AVP were really nice and knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Shout out to HR Riz and Michelle for helping me through it!
- How would you handle a call from an upset or irritated member?
Assistant Branch Manager
Applied on Linkedin, and two weeks later, I got an email from TimeTrade to schedule a 30-minute phone interview. The recruiter Riz Baldovino interviewed me and asked specific questions about my resume and experience. On the same day, I got an email to authorize a background check. The next day, I had an interview with the AVP of Retail Banking and the Branch Manager. I got the job offer the very next day. Boom!
