Just a few days after I applied, I got an invite to interview. It was this thing called an "on-demand" video interview. So, you have to answer questions by recording yourself on video. You get two tries to get it right, and then that's it. If you mess up the second time, you're stuck with it. I know virtual interviews are big now, but it was super weird not talking to a real person. It felt like I was just reciting something I'd practiced, not having a conversation. It's hard enough to show your personality on video, and this made it even tougher. I'm not shocked I didn't get a second interview. But honestly, it says a lot that Providence couldn't even spare 30 minutes for a phone call, so maybe it's for the best.

Behavioral

The first and only interview was on Microsoft Teams with five people, lasting about 30 minutes. They asked several behavioral questions one after another. It was a bit surprising to have a panel interview when I wasn't expecting it, but the group was nice. The questions were experience-focused, but nothing too unusual.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you share an experience managing competing deadlines?
  • Describe a time you handled a disagreement or difficult outcome.
  • Tell me about a situation where you managed a disagreement with a supervisor.
