So I had an interview with this company, and it was a mixed bag. Started with a chat with the Tech Recruiter, who was really nice and energetic. That went well, and she moved me to the next stage. Then I got this online assessment on TestGorilla, which had multiple-choice questions focused on problem-solving and spatial reasoning. You had to hit a certain score to pass, which I did. After that, I had a call with the Hiring Manager. The recruiter gave me some prep tips, and I did my homework on the company's mission and values, even thinking about improvements for the team. I felt good about that conversation, thought it flowed well and felt more like a discussion than an interview. A few days later, I got a generic rejection email. I asked for specific feedback but never heard back. Looking back, maybe my energetic style didn't mesh with the manager's more laid-back approach, or maybe I just didn't showcase my skills well enough in that one chat. It's a shame because they seemed to have a lot of similar roles open, and I would've been open to other teams. What's weird is that the job kept getting reposted, and they're still hiring for multiple teams in the same role. If it was a personality mismatch, it's a bummer I didn't get a chance to show my tech skills or talk to someone else.

The whole interview process was super quick, taking about a week from start to finish. I got updates at every step. The recruiter and interviewers were all really nice and professional. I met with the hiring manager, director, and product manager. There were also technical interviews with the engineering team covering frontend coding and design/architecture. The recruiter also checked in a few times to give me updates. The team seems really into delivering the company's vision and building great privacy-focused products. Their codebase is open source and looks really well-kept.
