The interview was pretty straightforward and professional. First, we had a chat to go over my background and experience. Then, we dove into technical discussions, focusing on real-life situations and how I’d solve problems. The people interviewing me knew their stuff, were helpful, and answered my questions, making it feel pretty comfortable and engaging. They kept me in the loop about what was happening, and things moved along as expected.

The interview process kicked off with an HR call. The interviewer was surprisingly late by 20 minutes and didn't say anything. During our chat, she pointed out that I seemed a bit overqualified, mainly because I hadn't directly used a specific headless CMS platform before. I explained that this wouldn't be an issue since I have experience building similar systems from the ground up. She mentioned she'd check with her manager and get back to me. However, I never heard from anyone again. No updates, no feedback, not even a rejection email. The role was eventually closed without any communication, which was quite disappointing for a company that seems professional, given the lack of consistency and respect for candidates' time.

I started with a video call with the recruiter. Then, I had an in-person interview at their Amsterdam office with the HR Business Partner and another HR Administrator. The next step was a video interview with the HR Director and Operations Manager. However, when I logged on for the video call, they didn't show up. After waiting, the HR Business Partner came on the call to tell me that the interview was canceled because they decided to go with someone else. I thought this was really unprofessional, given how much time and effort candidates put into interviewing.

You have to apply online first, and then HR will call you. The first call is with HR to ask some basic questions about your background and why you applied. Then there are on-site interviews. For this job, it was split into two sessions. The first on-site had 2 interviews, and then you had to come back 3 days later for another 3 interviews. Each interview was pretty short, like 15-20 minutes. They really care about how you think, your smarts, and your attitude, not just your resume. The interviewers seemed serious, but they're actually pretty chill once you work there. The whole thing from applying to getting an offer took a week, and the background check took another week. Heads up, they do a hair test for drugs, not urine.
